Hi and happy saturday / saturn’s day / shabbat shalom,
“it takes multiple attempts to make it legible”
— I have been having strange and vividly detailed dreams over the past couple of weeks as I close out the portal that is my first semester of graduate school. Shapeshifting vehicles, emotional inheritances, friends from the past who become strange mirrors, have all visited me at night during stretches of frequently interrupted sleep. I have transcribed excerpts of the dreams in the letter below.
This week was also a major first for me — I participated in a group theater performance. As someone who has struggled with shyness and aversion to being seen in vulnerability throughout my life, this moment felt incredibly affirming and expansive. The modality that I participated in is called playback theater: an “original form of improvisational theater in which audience or group members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot.”
Playback theater is a unique practice that has been used in schools, prisons, and in the practice of transformative justice. I invite you to read more about it. I am now wondering if a nighttime dream is a form of playback theater for the events of the day. A refracted (or as Colette Aboulker-Mouscat would call, reversed) performance of all that the conscious mind has experienced or, maybe, avoided addressing head-on during waking life.

About this newsletter:
Intuitive Archive is a weekly newsletter, containing poems, dreams, essays, and musings. I write things at the intersection of embodied experience and all that is unseen.
I send two letters per month that are open to the public free of charge. If you would like to support this work and/or, read more I warmly invite you to become a paid member of this substack. I really feel so supported and in awe of the paid subscribers of this project, it gives it some weight and depth and an incentive to keep sharing from the depths of my own inspiration.
Some more details:
A monthly subscription of $5/month gives you access to double the monthly letters, i.e. two paywalled letters per month, which tend to be more personal/confessional/experimental in nature than the free ones.
A yearly subscription of $50/year gives you all of the above plus a discount if you chose to pay yearly vs. monthly.
A founding member subscription of $90/year gives you all of the above plus a link to book a free 1:1 astrology reading with me, plus my undying gratitude and admiration.
